So, I’ve been messing around with this whole astrology thing, and let me tell you, it’s a rabbit hole. Today, I decided to really dig into my “big three” – Sun, Moon, and Rising signs – and see what all the fuss was about. My combo is Sun in Sagittarius, Moon in Sagittarius, and Libra Rising. Sounds like a party, right?

First, I pulled up my birth chart. I used one of those free online calculators. You just pop in your birth date, time, and place, and boom – instant cosmic blueprint. It showed all the planets and their positions when I was born.
Unpacking the Sagittarius Sun
Okay, so Sagittarius Sun. I’ve always felt this. I’m all about adventure, learning new things, and I definitely have a “don’t fence me in” kind of vibe. I bounced around between a few different websites, reading up on Sagittarian traits. Yep, restless, optimistic, blunt… that’s me in a nutshell. Sometimes I’m too blunt, gotta work on that.
Double Down with a Sagittarius Moon
Then there’s the Sagittarius Moon. This one was interesting because it’s about your inner self, your emotions. I initially was like, ‘Wait, emotions? Me?’ but the more I read the more it started to make sense. It explained why I have this constant, deep-seated need to explore and understand everything. I also saw that it described a love of freedom, and fear of being trapped emotionally. I realized that when I am emotional, I need to express and release this almost immeditaely.
Libra Rising: The Social Butterfly?
And finally, Libra Rising. This is the mask you wear, how you present yourself to the world. Libra is all about balance, harmony, and relationships. I thought about how I come across to people. I do try to be diplomatic, and I hate conflict. I guess I try to smooth things over, make everyone happy. This also explained why I sometimes get hung up on making decisions – weighing all the options, trying to find the “fairest” outcome.
Putting It All Together
So, what did I actually do with all this information? Well, I spent a good chunk of the day just reflecting. I jotted down some notes in my journal. Things like:
- How my Sag Sun pushes me to try new things, even if it scares me.
- How my Sag Moon makes me process emotions through a philosophical lens.
- How my Libra Rising makes me crave connection and strive for fairness.
I also talked it over with my friend who’s also into astrology. We compared our charts and discussed how our placements manifested in our lives. It was pretty cool to see the similarities and differences. I wouldn’t say I’m a full-blown astrology convert, but it’s definitely given me some food for thought. I’m more aware of my tendencies, and I’m starting to see how these different aspects of my personality play out. And it was just fun to think about.
